This glossary deliberately excludes:

• Platform-specific features
• Advertising formats or pricing models
• Short-term growth strategies

Its purpose is to provide stable conceptual language for understanding how AI systems mediate discovery, trust, and influence — particularly within structurally complex markets such as India.

WHY THIS GLOSSARY EXISTS

As AI systems increasingly mediate access to information, the absence of shared vocabulary has become a strategic blind spot.

This glossary establishes a common language for analysing AI-driven visibility without conflating it with legacy models of search, advertising, or media.

If a concept assumes user navigation, comparison, or clicking, it does not belong inside this framework. These terms concern presence within generated answers — not access to them.
